Day for Missing Children

Hey friends! Wednesday was for Missing Children.  This day is observed  all over the world on the 25th of May. The main motive of the day is to focus on children who have gone missing. On this day different countries do many things to find children who have disappeared.

All people help on this day to find the cute little kids who are missing. This day is celebrated for those children as well, who are at home because they were discovered.

The network of 22 member country is helping to find the missing children. These countries make joint network to find children. You should also try to be a part of this day to find children. Do something for those children who are missing.

The symbol for International Missing Children’s Day is the forget-me-not flower. The main purpose of International Missing Children’s Day is to encourage everyone to think about children who remain missing and to spread a message of hope.

The observance of May 25 as Missing Children’s Day began in the United States in 1983. In 2001, May 25 was first observed as International Missing Children’s Day through the efforts of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC), Missing Children Europe and the European Commission.

Children who go missing may be exploited and abused for various purposes from camel jockeys in the Gulf countries to victims of organ trade and even grotesque cannibalism as reported at Nithari village in Noida, India.

There are also a large number of children who run away from homes after dropping out of school or facing difficulties at home. They usually run away to the glamorous big cities where they fall prey to exploiters and are employed in tea stalls, brothels, beggary, etc. Most of the children come from poorer families who do not have access to police services or whose reports are not taken seriously.

This day should be remembered and should be celebrated not only by sitting in your houses rather by going out and helping a child who might be in need.
