A solution to India’s Problems?

A solution to India’s Problems?

Sir,

India today is filled with unending problems. The newspapers, television, radio and day to day conversation, pollution, scams, poverty, unemployment, Bihar, Assam, Punjab, Kashmir, food, health, education, discrimination, terrorism, corruption and so on. Karl Marx once remarked. “Religion is the opium of the masses.” I feel today the problems have replaced religion. I feel that, the society we live in makes everyone feel as a problem. It seems that India today is under the grip of problem psychosis more than the problems.

What I mean is that many of the problems that everyone comes across are imaginary, magnified and made complicated. In many cases the attempted solution to the problem became a bigger problem than the problem itself. The problem demands to be solved. But every problem needs a proper solution.

So, what is the solution? First of all, we need to change our perception. We have to understand the problems in our own social and political context, if not then it will become nothing but a bane. Our attitude towards the problems has to be positive and action oriented, rather than negative and critical. We all have become very fond of telling the government and other what should be done. “What I can do”, should be the approach. This approach would avoid bitterness and confrontation which would lead us to be at peace with each other.

India is a vast country with millions of able, skilful, hard working and loving people. It is unfortunate that the so called “SYSTEM” is unable to harness the potential. Only grouching wouldn’t help anyone in gaining any benefit. There is a need to motivate and mobilize the human resources of the country to their best. For this, a very fundamental need is to make every individual feel an important and useful member of the society.

Yours Truly

Another school-girlish piece of mediocre and mundane. I suppose this is letter is just to fill some internship requirement.
For heaven’s sake, one would have thought that the intellectual competency of a student of what is touted as Patna’s leading women’s college is a tad higher than this drivel.

Let’s change ourselves first and the world will change by itself. It’s we who create problems therefore solutions also are in our hands only we need to make proper use of our brains.
