Teenager, family assaulted by Homophobes

Now homophobia is becoming visible and violent in Delhi and its suburbs, if this incident can be  taken seriously. Some observers say that there is an undercurrent of hate being generated for LGBT groups because they are not naturally sympathetic to the patriarchal, right wing agendas of fundamentalist religious-political alliances.

New Delhi, Oct 3 (PTI) The Delhi Police said today that they have registered a case against a group of unidentified men for allegedly calling a class 12 student “gay” and beating his family members following the incident in Shakarpur area.

The teenager was heading towards Ganesh Nagar with his father on Sunday, when two men on a two-wheeler called him “gay”, the police said.

When he protested, they started arguing with him.

Locals pacified the two parties and the scooter-borne men left, they said.

However, they returned with more men and visited the shop of the teenager’s father. The teenager, his brother and uncle were present at the shop.

The group of men attacked the teenager and his family members with stones and belts and fled from the spot, the police said.

A case has been registered and the police were looking for the accused.

It’s very shameful that in a democratic country like India some people are not free to enjoy are live freely especially the LGBT groups. They are also humans,
and have the right to be as they like.

Some people can never stop showing supremacy infront of the ones who are weak. It’s not just about the LGBT group, but a whole lot of people.
Not everybody is strong enough to fight and that too uselessly. And these sick people take advantage of this thing.

Because there is lack of support and guidance suicide is the leading cause of death among these LGBT people. Many people are guilty of discrimination against LGBT group whether consciously or unconsciously. As a result it creates a stage of loneliness which should not be done.

LGBT people are not one who choose to adopt that life but they are born with such characteristics and this is very unfair If we condem, humiliate them.its not there problem it’s the problem in humans mind, the belief that they carry.
They are not any strangers they are just human like us.and deserve same respect and position what according to majority normal people do.
