Young Leaders’ Formation at Patna

Patna 2018: A youth leadership program was organized at Navjyoti Nikatan by Fr.Oswald SJ. This seminar was organized for four days from May 29,2018 to June 4,2018 to motivate the youth to make them responsible citizens and form an enlighten society. The main aim of this seminar was to motivate the students to become great leaders of tomorrow and work for the development of the society.

The seminar witnessed many speakers such as Mr. U.Manjhi, Mr. A.Priyadarshi, Mr. Peter and his team, Mr. Frank Krishner, Mr. Hasan Imam, Mrs. Kamla Ranjan and Mr. Uday Narain Choudhary. All these speakers shared their views and experiences with the gathering on various topics such as constitutional rights and responsibilities, usage and power of media, how to create ideas for nukkad natak and how to perform it, about women rights and safety, upliftment of the scheduled caste and tribes.

On the last day of the seminar, the former speaker of the Bihar legislative assembly, Mr. Uday Narain Choudhary addressed the gathering and talked about the upliftment of the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. He mentioned the contribution of Dr. B.R Ambedkar to establish equality in the society and removal of the untouchability from the society. He also talked about the misinterpretation of the Archbishop letter and said “The letter did not talked about any political party rather only asked the people to pray for the country’s peace in this environment of intolerance.”

He criticized the present government and asked the youth to be like shaheed Bhagat Singh and fight for their freedom and work for the upliftment of the underprivileged section of the society. He added that there is constant violation of the constitution and people need to take stand for the prestige of our constitution. He announced about “samvidhan bachao, desh bachao” movement that will be held on 24th June 2018 at Gandhi Maidan and asked people to join it.
