India is now facing a new challenge which is trending among the youngsters “The Kiki challenge” introduced by Canadian rapper Drake, which involved people stepping out of a moving vehicle and dancing to his song “In My Feelings”.
Youngsters are taking up this challenge just to show their friends that they are cool and some because of pear pressure. They are unaware of the outcomes of this challenge; are themselves putting their life in danger.
Vasai Railway Court [Mumbai] on Thursday ordered three youth, to clean the Vasai railway station for three days as a punishment for performing the Kiki challenge in front of a moving train and an ambulance. They are asked to spread awareness among people, to not take up these challenges as well.
They had been arrested under sections 145 B (indecency or nuisance), 147 (entering railway premises or damaging property) 154 (endangering safety of passengers) and 156 (performing stunts) of the Indian Railway Act. These sections entail a jail sentence for one year and a fine of Rs 500.
This is not the first time that people performed this challenge under dangerous circumstances. Earlier also teenagers have taken these type of challenges.
The authorities said who so ever will found as attempting this stunt, will be punished by the law. This is not just a risk for the youngsters, but they are putting others life at risk too.
