Tooth trouble can bite off your happiness!

Tooth trouble can bite off your happiness!

Every individual wants to look good. We use creams and other cosmetics to make-over ourselves. But we usually forget that using cosmetics cannot make a big change but taking good care of ourselves can definitely do so. Our smile can make a big difference to our personality. For a good smile we need to have healthy teeth. Seema Kumari gives readers a few tips:

According to the dentists, ECC (Early Childhood Caries) is the most common dental disease among children under the age of six. In simple words ECC is the decay and crumbling of the tooth bone.  It tends to progress very fast. It can cause pain and affects to normal growth and development of teeth. In this tender age of the children, it is the responsibility of the parents to assist their children while brushing. They should take their children to the dentist by the age of one year and should also make sure that their children are eating a healthy fibrous diet.

When children become teenagers, they play lots of rough sports like boxing, football, hockey and wrestling. You must be thinking what is bad in it? Yes of course, there is nothing bad in it. But wearing mouth guards are important while playing these sports. At this age when a tooth breaks it cannot be healed. It can only be restored by the dentists.

Now let’s talk about the adults, mostly when people reach  the age of 40, they suffer with sensitive teeth. It can be the result of vigorous brushing, gum disease, receding gums that come with ageing or using a hard-bristled toothbrush. Tooth grinding can also lead to sensitivity. In this the root surface of the tooth gets exposed. For preventing the sensitive teeth it is very important that we are cautious from our childhood. But for minimising the effect, use especially formulated toothpaste. Don’t ignore  daily oral hygiene.

With ageing, the  mouth turns becomes dry. But it is very important for our mouth to be moist. Lack of saliva can damage our teeth. Saliva helps in killing bad bacteria and for cleansing the plaque of the mouth. For this it is very important to drink lots of water and having raw foods like fruits and salads. These fibrous foods stimulate the flow of saliva and also help in keeping our teeth clean.

So, let’s take care of our teeth and have a big smile.  And our smiles will surely make a change in our personality.

This article is very informative. I have also seen many adults tormenting with teeth pain and probably the reasons behind the pain are the ones cited above. We have often seen people ignoring their health in their busy life and giving more priority to external beauty and not the internal one. Hence, people should understand the internal beauty and in this case, they should visit a good dentist once in a while.
