Two days National Seminar held in PWC

On Wednesday, 28th November, a  National seminar was organized on ‘New Horizon of Biological Sciences’, Advances and Challenges’ by the Department of Botany and the department of Industrial Microbiology, in Patna Women’s College in collaboration with the Indian Science congress Association, Patna chapter, was successfully conducted with immense satisfaction and enthusiasm.

The imminent keynote speakers on the second day of seminar were Prof. Indra Nath Mishra, Director, Dept. of Biotechnology, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga, and Prof. Ashok Narian Singh, Retd. Professor, Department of Botany,  V. K. S. U., Ara.

Posters and paper presentation session proved an excellent opportunity to see, hear and discuss specific research topics directly with the abstract authors.

The valedictory function was addressed by the Chairperson, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C, Principal, Patna Women’s College, followed by the Chief Guest Professor Dolly Sinha, Pro-Vice-chancellor Ptna University. She also encouraged the students by giving away the prizes.

Recommendations were read by the convenor, Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head Department of Botany, the vote of thanks by the organizing secretary, Ms. Jaya Philip, Coordinator, Department of Industrial Microbiology, Patna Women’s College, marked the end of a magnificent and enlightening two days experience for all those who attended it.
