New Delhi: A THREE DAY JAMBOREE OF STREET FOOD! VENDORS WITH MORE THAN 300 VARIETIES OF MOUTH WATERING STREET FOOD! STREET PERFORMANCES, BAKERY SHOWS, STREET PLAYS, MAGIC SHOW, TOL MOL KAR BOL BY SRS, FOOD TIPS BY CELEBRITY CHEF SANJEEV KAPOOR, CONVERSATION ON STREET VENDING AND STREET FOOD WITH POLICY MAKERS EXPERTS AND PROFESSIONALS.
National Association of Street Vendors of India WILL host 7th National Street Food Festival from December 11-13 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
It’s that time of the year again when street food vendors from all over India comes to the national capital to tease the taste buds of Street food from across India.
The National Street Food Festival 2015’s full and flavoursome line-up of new and returning gastronomic delights and food lovers, celebrity chefs, activities, live performance and many other cultural social activities, has been announced by NASVI. Marking the Festival’s seventh edition, this year’s National Street Food Festival will welcome a bursting calendar of delicious and diverse street food from across India.
Promoting the depth and diversity of India’s Street Food as it positions India as a leading international hub for world-class street food, NSFF 2015 headliners include the TV favourite Sanjeev Kapoor, and many other celebrity chefs.
The Festival programme has been designed to highlight the range of flavours that inspire India’s menus, drawn from the cuisines of the 26 states, as well as the traditions of Indian street cuisine and hospitality, an increasingly important element of our tourism offer.
NSFF 2015 promises a wholesome experience of food and entertainment ,she further shared the experience of street food vendors who wait for this month. Like every international, festival this festival has brought change in the lives of many street food vendors.
The cuisinees coming to the festival this year include Wazwan ,khamiri roti,Noon chai and Kawhawa,Variety of Dimsums from Sikkim, Konkani food ,kasa mutton ,kakori kabab ,Gulawati kabab Afghani tangri ,Tea from Assam, Darjaleen, Hyderabad and other beverages will also be an addition to keep visitors warm in the chilly winter.
Entry to the venue is by tickets only, which can be bought online from the NASVI website http://www.nasvinet.org. Tickets will also be available at a booth near the festival entry gate (No. 14) of the stadium.
NASVI is a federation of 888 street vendor organisations from 27 states of India. It has been advocating the ‘right to livelihood’ of street vendors and sees passing of the Central Act for Street Vendors in 2014 as a big success. NASVI is currently engaged with various governments to ensure implementation of the Act.
