PATNA: Now the Congress Party in Bihar should be red in the face! It’s a story of (politically) fatal attraction. The Congress MLA from Bikram in Patna district, Siddharth, and one of his aides has been named for the ‘kidnapping’ of a minor. His aide, Mukesh, was also named in the FIR.
Siddharth had won the 2015 assembly poll from Bikram in Patna district. He is the son of a well-known paediatrician and is married with two children. The story is that he’s apparently been ‘stalking’ a teenaged girl, or at least, that’s what the girl’s father told the police.
The girl’s father claims that two men, one of them known to him, came to their house at Sokukra village around 9am on Thursday. “They engaged me in a conversation. Mukesh then pushed my daughter into a vehicle and sped away. We immediately went to the police and lodged an FIR. Mukesh is a close aide of the MLA,” he told a local paper.
The man says that Siddharth first met the girl at her maternal grandmother’s place at Bharatpura village while he was campaigning for the elections. “After that, he would regularly follow her and harass us,” he stated.
The story gets even more interesting! It seems the girl was ‘rescued’ from her father, who again ‘rescued’ her from the MLA!
“To keep her away from Siddharth, I rented a house near Chiraiyatand in Kankarbagh and shifted her there along with her sisters. On January 20, my daughter went missing for a day and we learnt that Siddharth had picked her up and insisted on keeping her in a girls’ hostel at Kankarbagh. We rescued her with the help of the police but did not lodge any case as the MLA apologised and promised that he would not repeat such an act.”
Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj said raids were being conducted to locate the MLA and efforts were being made to ‘rescue’ the girl.
Utpal Kant, the MLA’s father, said, “Siddharth behaved quite normally till Thursday morning. He was home till 11am. After the reported kidnapping, I tried to call him, but found his mobile phone and those of his friends switched off.”

This is not about Jungle Raaj. This is just a shameful lack of morality and respect for public. MLA should know that having any kind of relationship with girl under 18 is really stupid in India!
