Patna: A shutdown in four districts: Buxar, Rohtas, Bhabhua and Bhojpur, called in protest against the murder of BJP state unit vice-president Visheshwar Ojha affected the daily life. According to the sources, the supporters of Ojha, instigated by the political forces, forced the markets to shut down, burnt tyres and blocked the Ara-Patna, Ara-Sasaram, Ara-Mohania main roads. They made a hangama at Mathia mor, Shivganj, bus stand, Tribhuani Kothi mor, Dhobighatawa and shouted slogans demanding the arrest of the murderers.
Bihar Police have ruled out political reasons and say Harendra Singh aka Bhua Singh, probably killed the BJP state unit vice-president Visheshwar Ojha (49), over a property dispute.
Others say that Harendra Singh is a sharpshooter working for Shivajeet Mishra a hardcore criminal, presently locked up in Ara jail.
Additional director-general of police Sunil Kumar addressing local media after the arrest of Singh, said “Investigations are on in the case from all possible angles. Seven persons have been named in the FIR at Sahpur police station. Six of them are still underground and attempts are on to arrest them.”
Local newspapers say Haresh Mishra, the main accused, still underground, is the son of Shivajeet Mishra and a hardcore criminal. Former coal business partners, the Mishra and the Ojha family later became property-dealers. When they had a fallout over money issues.
BJP leaders, including Sushil Kumar Modi, BJP state president Mangal Pandey and Leader of Opposition Prem Kumar, attended his last rites.
