Sir,
Being a Bihari, I am very happy that Nalanda University has been included as world heritage site by UNESCO. It stands out as the most ancient university of Indian subcontinent.
Nalanda was the centre for learning from the 5th century. It flourished under Gupta Empire in fifth and sixth centuries and had its growth till ninth century. But later in subsequent centuries, it started declining.
The ruins, stupas and the shrines still attract many tourists. People from all over the place come to Nalanda to get the knowledge and to feel about Buddhism. It is now a notable tourist destination and a part of Buddhist circuit.
It gives me immense pleasure that Nalanda is in Bihar where many people came from outside to get education. At the same time I am ashamed that we modern Biharis are our self destroying our education system by doing all sorts of malpractices during our exams and also putting our own future in danger.
Now people have doubts on the educational certificate or degree of Bihar schools and colleges. We modern Biharis are failing in our education system and are becoming a reason for the degradation of Bihar.
Yours truly

The image of Bihari’s has been shattered due to the bad educational system and shameful malpractices done by students.
But not only the system or the government will able to stop this instantly, everyone should think themselves and decide not to indulge them in such things. Bihar is a land known for its talent as well as beautiful heritage and hope so it won’t change.
