Where is our humanity?

Where is our humanity?

Sir,

Delhi is the capital of India and one of the oldest cities in the world having rich cultural and architectural history. A well known Hindi phrase describes Delhi as “dilwalo ka shahar” meaning people living here are good at heart. It is considered as the heart of India. People from all over the place come to Delhi for their education, employment etc. It also attracts people for its tourist destinations like India Gate, Red Fort etc.

People say that Delhi fills positive vibes and gives the essence of freedom, confidence and boldness. That means there is lots of enjoyment and positivity. People are not afraid to raise their voice against any injustice.

But recently a story was in various media about hit and run case in Delhi. A person was hit by an auto rickshaw and the driver didn’t bother even to see weather he was alive. The other people moving on road just tried to ignore the accident and the victim died. The accused has been arrested with the help of CCTV.

People do not come to help the injured person because they are afraid be involved as the police officers ask them many questions. They are afraid that they will be considered guilty.

I think this case is not new, it also happens in other cities of India. But my questions are, Is arresting the accused is enough? Will it bring the life of the person? Where has the humanity disappeared?

Being a person and a citizen of India, I strongly believe that we should help the person suffering as it can save her life. We should help the police to reach the accused. We are humans and should not forget our humanity.

Yours truly

The very statement of”dilwalo ka shahar ” is in danger due to the unsocial And unethical code of conduct from the city..we can see these kinds of accidents around us..and we also are one of the kind..we should change the mental

Delhi is known as the “dilwalo ka sahar” but the recent story has proved this statement wrong because if the people of Delhi had heart then they would not have left the injured man to die on the road. This case has put up a big question mark on humanity.
