Chinese Kung-fu or Wushu has many practitioners in India’s 3rd most populous state.
The 9th Bihar State Level sub-junior/junior/ senior Wushu competition was organised in Muzaffarpur. The three day competition dated 26th July, 2019 to 28th July, 2019 was held at the Indoor Sports Complex in Sikandarpur.
700 participants from 25 districts of Bihar participated, in which 33 participants were from Patna District Wushu Association.
Patna managed to bag 28 medals out of which 13 were gold, 12 silver and 3 bronze. Muzaffarfur became the overall champion with the highest point of 167 while Bhojpur bagged the second position.
Participants from Patna displayed a great performance and secured the 3rd position in the overall championship. Winners were awarded by Pramod Kumar, Minister of Youth Art and Culture.
Gold Medal: VanshikaRaje, Shailja Singh, Srishti Singh, Shagun Singh, Shambhavi, Atharva Mishra, AnshuKumari, Nisha Raj, AyushiStuti, Yashasvi Raj, ShibuAnurag, Shubham Kumar, Amandeep.
Silver: AanviKumari, Aryan Raj, ShivaniKumari.
Bronze: Rajnandini, KhusiAnurag, ViratKunj, Aditya Raj, Tejaswa Raj, Manoj Kumar Ayush Singh, Prem Singh, Suraj Kumar, Chandan Kumar, Anjali Kumari, Rahul Singh.
SurajKumar(Coach), PritiKumari(Party-in Charge) along with VikashRanjan and all the participants were praised for the great dispay by the President of Wushu Association Dr.Amulya Kumar Singh, Vice President Dr, B. Priyam and General Secretary Suraj Kumar.
