The Patna High Court has issued a tender inviting bids for supply of iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB), in the cost range of more then 1.25 lakhs for all judges of the court.
The tender, issued on Tuesday 21st June, has also asked interested suppliers or authorized dealers to quote a price for the models, inclusive of GST and service charges. It has asked for “GST number, PAN, AADHAR, email and a registered mobile number clearly” in the quotation.
An officer on special duty issued the notice on behalf of the court’s purchase cell. The high court will reserve the right to accept or reject any or all quotations, the notice stated.
“Sealed quotations are invited from the reputed firms/ authorised dealers / suppliers / service providers for supply of Apple iPhone 13 Pro (256 GB) for the Hon’ble Judges of this Court,” the tender notice read.
It was also mentioned in the notice that the bid documents should be submitted within a week and no advance payment shall be made. Instead of cash, payment will be made only through bank (CFMS mode) after the submission of a duplicate bill.
“Headquarters/ office of the firm/ shop must be located in Patna. The firm or supplier needs to be ready for maintenance of the iPhone as and when it is required. In addition, defective materials should be replaced immediately by the concerned firms, free of cost, within the warranty period.” the court’s notice added.
The total legitimate strength of the Patna High Court is 53 judges, and as of 1 June the working strength was 27. However, with the Central government recently notifying the appointments of nine more members for the bench, which means the working strength will soon increase to 36.
iPhone 13 pro was introduced in India on September 14, 2021, and was priced around 1,29,900 rupees, for 27 judges the price of the iPhones will go around 35,07,300 rupees.
