Will Patna’s Radio Mirchi have a competitor in radio City, Patna? We hope so.
FM continues to grow in India. Now Private FM operator Radio City has launched four new stations in Rajasthan at Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and Bikaner, taking the number of their outlets to five in the desert State.
Radio City, part of the Jagran Group firm Music Broadcast, currently has 39 stations, including 11 it picked up in the recent phase III auctions.
It had acquired frequencies in Kanpur, Patiala, Patna, Jamshedpur, Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner, Nashik, Kolhapur, Udaipur and Madurai during the phase III radio auctions.
“With launch of our four new stations in the key market of Rajasthan, we are excited to become a strong radio network, covering five cities in the State now. After Jaipur, we are all set to entertain our listeners in Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and Bikaner,” Music Broadcast Chief Executive Officer Abraham Thomas said in a statement.
