India’s Badminton Queen

New queen of world Badminton Pusarla Venkata Sindhu (PV Sindhu) born on 5th July, 1995. She is an Indian Badminton player from Andra Pradesh,who has won the world championship. .
On August 25th 2019, she became the first ever Indian to win the prestigious BWF world championships gold by beating familiar rival Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in a lop-sided final.

PV Sindhu was honoured with the Padma Shri in  2015, Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratan award  2016 and Arjuna award in year 2013 for Badminton.
Sindhu is an example of women’s contribution to sports and the society.  Sindhu ‘s magic on the court, hard work and perseverance enthralls and inspires thousands.

It was Sindhu’s fifth World Championships medal. She has the most for a woman singles player with former Olympics and world champion Zhang Ning of China to go with the two successive silvers and a couple of bronze medals.
Sindhu has also won an Olympic silver in 2016 Rio Games, a silver at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, an Asian Games silver at Jakarta and the BWF World Tour Finals last year.
