Music is an art. It is a way for an individual to express themselves, or make people feel a particular way. By listening to music, one can let their emotions flow with the melody. In the end, music is whatever you want it to be. It can be something to make you happy, or something to make you sad. It can be something to help you let out your emotions, or something simply to enjoy. There is no real science to it. It is something that can only be understood by experiencing it.
Music is the vehicle of the universe. Whatever has a life of its own, has music. Be it the sound of waves or the chirping birds or the roar of a tiger. All of these are elements of sound and music within our cosmos.
For a musician, it’s a language of the soul, a connect with the sub-conscious and the inner-self.

Science behind Music
The musical compositions are geared toward helping “the listener achieve certain neurological brain states” such as productivity, restfulness, or relaxation. It does so keeping two key concepts in mind: entertainment and dynamic auditory attending theory.
Music is an art form that also provides entertainment and pleasure. In addition, music works as a medicine for the soul and body. When the right type of music is chosen, it has amazing effects on both the mind and body.
Benefits of Music
- Reduces Stress and Anxiety
Many people struggle with stress and anxiety on a daily basis. To deal with these problems, one of the easiest options is listening to slow-tempo and low-pitch music, without lyrics or loud instrumentation
- Decreases Pain
Music has a unique ability when it comes to dealing with pain. It helps reduce pain but the mechanism through which this happens is not very clear.
- Improves Immune Functioning
When you listen to music, your body has an increase in immunoglobulin A. This antibody plays an important part in the mucous system and keeps cells healthy .It even reduces the stress-related hormone cortisol, which can lead to a decreased immune response.
- Boosts Memory
Music also promotes cognitive health. When you listen to music while studying, it helps you remember the information better. Music helps promote dopamine release, which spurs motivation to keep learning.
