Life is so very unpredictable. Queen of several hearts who amazed everyone with her roles has left every one shocked with her last act.
One of the brilliant Bollywood actress Sridevi took her last breath at 11 P.M in Dubai.
According to the reports Anil Ambani has sent 13 seater Embraer jet belonging to Reliance Company, to bring back the body from Dubai to Mumbai. Sridevi’s last rites will be performed at the Pawan Hans crematorium after a prayer meeting at the Boat Club in Mumbai on Monday, 26th February.
Sridevi, 54, met with her angels late on Saturday night reportedly due to cardiac arrest. She had gone Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding.
Over five decades, she featured in almost 300 films, including in Mr India, Chandni, ChaalBaaz and Sadma. She played the role of twins in Nagina and Khuda Gawah.
Before her entry into Bollywood, the actor had been a known face in South Indian films. She made her debut as a child artist in in Tamil film “Thunaivan” in 1969. She was 4 at that time. She also worked in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films.
After “Judaai”, Sridevi took a break from acting to focus on her personal life. After 15 years she made her come back with the film English Vinglish in 2012.
Last year, she was seen in revenge-drama, “Mom”, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. She also made her special appearance in superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, “Zero”, which releases in December.
Sridevi was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour, in 2013.
She was considered one of the very few Indian female superstars capable of huge box office success without the support of a male hero. Her name, most of the times, was a guarantee enough for a film’s success.
Sridevi’s demise is a great loss to Indian film industry.All the social media sites like facebook and tweeter are full of condolence messages.
Indian President Ram Nath Kovind said her death had left millions of fans heartbroken.
